P6: TITLE - Review and edit sourced footage
> Why will this shot work/not work for visual/special effects? > How will this shot help the narrative? > How do you intend to cut away from this shot to the next one? > How effective do you think this shot will be in the final piece? > How effective was your directing of the actors?
Sample Rush 1
This shot will help because it will show of the special effects used in my sequence ( the make up).
This shot will help the narrative because it is the start of the chase in sequence.
I plan to transition from this shot to the next using a simple cut because I want it to be fast pace.
This shot will be effective because it starts the sequence off and gets the audience asking why is she running? Who is she running from? etc.
I think I directed my actor very well because she did what I asked again in this shot.
Sample Rush 2
This shot work for visual and special effects because it helps me transition to the next shot that has a special effect in it.
This shot helps with the narrative because the shaking camera emphasises how fast she is running to get away and how scared she is .
I plan to transition from this shot to the next one with a simple cut because it is a horror sequence and fast pace cutting is essential.
This shot will be effective because it is a big part of my sequence as it is a tracking shot of chase her being chased.
I think that I directed my actor very well because they she did everything that I said perfectly in this shot.
Sample Rush 3
Sample Rush 4
This shot will help because it will be showing off both of the special effects that I used in my sequence (the props and the makeup).
This shot helps the narrative because this is the first shot that we see someone chasing her so we now know why she is running.
I again plan to transition to the next shot using a cut.
This shot is effective because it shows how fast she is running to get help and how close the killer is to getting her.
I directed this shot well because I told my actress when she was cued to run and and when my actor was cued to walk in and they followed this very well.
This shot will help because it will show off the special effects the props and the make up and a little bit of the visual effect because you will see the side of his face you may see a bit of his disfigured face.
This shot will help the narrative because it is the end where the girl eventually dies and the sequence finishes.
I plan to transition to the next shot using a cut again.
This shot is effective because you feel as if the girl should end up surviving and that that should be the ending but because she dies you understand that is how it ends.
