P3: TITLE - Create a production plan for audio-visual content using special effects
Brief
Running time
Because I am doing a sequence within a movie I will expect my sequence to be between 1 minute ant 2 minutes.
What I intend on making
My scene within a movie will start with a girl turning a corner in a hallway and she is scared as if she is being chased, she will have a bruised eye as if she has been badly hurt recently for unknown reasons. She will be running across the corridor trying to open doors but they are all locked. She then turns around to see a hooded man with a weapon or weapons in his hands and you can't see his face, and no matter how fast she runs he just keeps getting closer just by walking. She then runs towards the end of the corridor to get to the stairs on the left all while looking back and seeing him still getting eerily closer. She runs down the stairs and when she looks up she sees him at the top of them looking down at her. She then runs to open the door at the stairs but they are also locked and she can sees the killer halfway down the flight of stairs. The girl turns around to see a final door she runs as it is her last hope and pushes the door but unfortunately that is locked and now the killer is only a few feet away staring at her. As he is about to make the killing blow he takes off his hood revealing a disfigured face and the girl screams in terror then the killer swings down the screen blacks out and you hear the thud of the girl being hit.
Target Audience
The target audience for my scene within a movie is
Age= 12- 40
Gender= Both male and female (but it is stereotypical for men to enjoy these movies because men are scene as braver then women)
Job= Part time job because he or she is in secondary school or sixth form or college, must have enough disposable income to go to watch or buy a movie . If he or she is an adult they could have a full time job again must have enough disposable income.
My target audience would live either in the parents house which could be a middle class four bedroom house or they can live by themselves or a partner in a one bedroom apartment or two bedroom house and it can differ because it could be middle class or an upper class place depending their jobs.
My target audience will be people that like the horror genre.

M1: TITLE - Discuss the issues and risks for the proposed multiple effects
Risk assessment
Are my risks feasible?/The actual costs and feasibility of your solutions My first risk I have mentioned was that my actors could trip over because they are running I do think this is feasible mainly because when you run you are going much faster and therefore it easier to mess up your footing and fall. The solution is quite feasible and there is no cost, my solution to this is to ask my actor to be careful when running and tell them not to run to quickly whilst shooting.
In the second risk I mentioned it is feasible that someone could trip up and injure themselves seriously because my actors are also running down stairs and they could easily fall down the stairs. In order to prevent this from happening, I have come up with a solution where I will tell my actors and crew to hold on to the handles by the stairs. The solution is quite feasible and there Is no cost because it is not a difficult task to do. My crew would need to have some common sense and sensibility in order to prevent this risk from happening. I think this is a feasible skill for them to have because it doesn't require them to go and develop that skill, it should come instinctively to them. I feel that if my crew does get themselves injured then I would need to have a basic fist aid kit with me to look after the minor injuries. However, if it is for the more serious injuries such as a broken bone then I would need to know the nearest hospital on location. In my production schedule, it clearly states where the nearest hospital is and a GP'S number. I feel that my resources stated are quite feasible, mainly because it doesn't cost a lot of money to buy a basic first aid kit and because of the NHS, going to a hospital won't cost anything. Even though it is feasible it would waste a lot of tie tending to a crew member that injured themselves.
Permission
Legislation Within my film sequence I gathered some of my crews information like phone number and addresses this means that I must consider the Data protection act this means I can not share any of the data I've collected otherwise I will be breaking this code. I do not have any children within my film sequence so I don't have to worry about the Childrens act. If i were to have children i would have to think about the fact they can not be out of school for more then 7 days otherwise a tutor will be on set. When making my production I must be careful about legal, moral and ethical issues because without these I could get fined for copyright or just personally hurt my crew members. I need to think of employment rights which refers to the law to ensure the crew that is helping me are treated right including statutory rights and contract of employment which is the agreement made between me and my crew members . In my case this would be my friends helping me in my production. I do not need to worry about any laws to do with actors because there are no actors in my production. However I do need to worry about the safety of my crew members helping me out. The next hazard is "the crew falling over props" this is possible as there will a table set up with another table on top to get the right height with the props on top. This could be a hazard as this is a fairly tall easily collapsible table setup that someone could hit and hurt themselves. The props themselves are very small and wouldn't cause a tripping accident. However in saying this the table setup will be large and obvious so I shouldn't think the crew will hit it or miss it. The table setup is also taking into consideration within this risk. The setup is very risky and if someone is not safe around it there could be a hazard. My crew will be on the floor next to the table setup meaning they are in danger as the it could fall on them and hurt them. However I don't think that this risk is feasible as the props being used in the film (the ships) are too small to trip over and the tables will be very large and obvious and hard to miss so I believe my crew members will easily be able to see the tables and will know to be careful around them. Before I start shooting my film sequence I will inform my crew members to be safe around the props and the tables. The skills required to ensure their safety is the skill of knowing there surrounding and mapping out the set and remembering how everything is laid out. Working within the scope of the risk assessment and health and safety guidelines Permissions: I have gained permission from the subject leader and the main teacher for the studio for wether i was able to use the studio to film and effects on locations within an email that I sent him. Evidence of e-mail sent above. In this production I chose a location that was feasible to gain permission to film because it was in my school and the likeliness of me gaining permission was high. Skills required: Both myself and my team need multiple skills such as, communication, teamwork, responsibility. With these skills we are able to work together, be on time, be hardworking and sensible and that means we can get the task done to a high standard. In order to make it more feasible that permission would be granted as producer I took on the responsibility of gaining it, the skills I needed to ensure permission was granted were basic technology skills in sending e-mails, good diplomacy skills so that I could get permission free of charge and strong communication skills because I wanted to keep my e-mail short and sweet and professional sounding, I felt this was feasible when you take in consideration my skills. Financial costs: For my production I do not need to spend any money as I already have all the equipment I need from the school and my actors are my friends, making the production easy and more feasible to successfully complete. Time it took to get permission: After emailing the head of the school I received a response a day later. Regulations: I will not be using any harmful chemicals, however I have read the risks and the chemicals the "Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)" covers. This will ensure that I am safe during my production even if I am not coming into contact with dangerous chemicals. How the producer intends to work within the scope of the risk assessment: I will work within the scope of the risk assessment by making sure the crew know the hazards before the shoot so that they are all prepared in case of an accident this way my crew know that they are safe. So in order to make my risk assessment a feasible working document I will at the start of my production pull my cast and crew over to discuss the risks and hazards involved in the production, I will let my cast know that when running they should be aware of their surroundings and not to go to fast when running and tell them when using the props (bats) to be careful when swinging them in the final scene and finally I will let them know when running down the stairs that they should hold onto the railing for safety and agin watch where they are going. I will then tell my camera man to also be carful when shooting the track shot as he will have to run backwards, so someone would need to be behind him holding his back so that he does't fall and to be carful when using the equipment for example when he is going down the stairs with the camera he must try not to drop the camera and of course watch his footing as he could fall. I will finally then tell the director to look out for all the risks and hazards because he is co responsible for the safety of everyone involved in the production.
