P4: Describe how the proposal conforms to meet all legal and regulatory requirements.
P5: Assess the ethical, social and moral impact your proposal could have on stakeholders.
There are ethical, social and moral issues that I will have to consider that are relevant to my proposal, I will discuss these points with the app developers so that my app doesn’t fall into any issues to do with ethical, social and moral rules. These are the ethical, social and moral considerations I will be taking on board
GDPR-Personal data/Collecting data I will be treating other people’s data so this means my app will only collect data that the users would be comfortable with sharing. I would have to make sure that the users know that their personal data is secure so that they feel comfortable giving the relevant information required for the app to perform. I will only be asking users for email address that they sign up with as well as a password that they create on the account. It is important that I collect the data in order for the app to run but is it also important I collect data that will prepare the apps future growth. E.g. data such as feedback from surveys on how to improve the app.
Harming or sensitive topics As my app will include interviews of music stars as well as music videos some content could be sensitive but also could be unsuitable for a vulnerable audience to see like the 16-18 year old end of my target audience. I will have to make sure I have researched into what videos and interviews are explicit and suitable for my target audience or have an age restriction in my app for the target audience. Music artists also use their music videos and interviews as a platform to express their views and thoughts on society, this kind of content may have some sensitive issues that the audience may find offensive. I would again have to self regulate there content with in the app.
Being truthful with users To prevent any issues with data protection I will make sure that my app has a clear privacy policies that is mentioned before logging in as well as being within the settings.
How could these issues have an impact on your stakeholders? I will be taking precautions to preventing the issues above from happening so this means that I will have control over the impact it has on the app’s stakeholders. However issues may occur and it could impact the stakeholders in different ways. The main issue is privacy, not all users might be aware of the privacy policy or might not agree give out their information therefore the privacy policy being available to the users and easy to access is key so that this issue doesn’t impact on the user.
One of the main issues that are ethical, social and moral is the fact I will be sharing music artists interviews which could contain sensitive content and/or explicit content therefore I will have to make sure I have a warning come up before any videos are played that could be sensitive on the audience. However if the videos discriminate or are offensive I shall not use them in my app to avoid a negative impact on the audience. I will have to do a lot of research and checking of content before it is uploaded discriminating or offensive music videos on my app.
