Name of character:
Emma Age: 16 Gender: Female Hometown: Birmingham History/Background: Emma lives alone with her mom since her father died 2 years ago. Despite her life she is always smiling and she is liked by most people and is probably most “normal” out of the group and the most social out of the group. Role in narrative:
Emma’s role in the narrative is to get kidnapped and to be the person that the friends try to investigate which is the main plot of the series. Why have you chosen this character? I have chosen this character because I feel like this character is represented in a lot of teen dramas and I wanted at least one or two character that the audience would recognise and feel comfortable with so that it could pull them into the teen drama. |
Name of character:
Leo Age: 16 Gender: Male Hometown: Birmingham History/Background: Leo is a mixed race 16 year old that is very intelligent, he comes from a single parent household also but his mother and father divorced and he now lives with his mom. His mom works 2 jobs to put food on his plate and because of this he is the smartest in his school so he could get an amazing job and help his mom. He also has had the biggest crush on Emma since they were young. Role in narrative: His role in the narrative is to be the main person to find the clues this is because he is very smart and has a huge crush on Emma and he actually notices that Emma hasn’t died when he finds a clue. He is the main character Why have you chosen this character? I have chosen this character because I feel like people of this race aren’t represented enough in teen dramas and if so they are not usually the main character or really intelligent so I wanted some of my characters to be different so that the audience didn’t think that it was a carbon copy of most teen dramas out there. |
Name of character:
Chloe Age: 17 Gender: Female Hometown: Birmingham History/Background: Chloe comes from a strict Hispanic family which makes it hard for her to tell anyone in her family that she is gay and that is why she hasn’t come out yet, not even to her friends and I feel like throughout the series I would explore her coming out or meeting someone that is homosexual and that person being her love interest. Role in narrative: Her role in the narrative is that she and Emma are really close as they are the two girls in the group therefore they trust each other and have a sort of best friend connection and so she is quite determined to find Emma. Ultimately I feel like she should be the one that finds her and or finds out where Emma has been taken. Why have you chosen this character? I have chosen this character because I feel like people of this race aren’t represented enough in teen dramas and if so they are not usually the main character and they are not usually homosexual so I wanted some of my characters to be different so that some of my audience can relate and so that didn’t think that it was a carbon copy of most teen dramas out there. |
Name of character:
Isaac Age: 16 Gender: Male Hometown: Birmingham History/Background: Isaac is a sporty health fanatic with awards and trophies for numerous sporting activities he is also the privileged one out of all of them, he is like the outlier of the group. But despite this he or any of the people in the group don't see him as a popular. But his life isn't always great his father can be huge pressure on him forcing him to do better in school and sometimes being abusive. Role in narrative: His role in the narrative is that him and Sarah used to date and he messed everything up and now that she is gone he is regretting everything that they went through and now he is more determined in his mind to find her and because he is very privileged he is using a lot of his money and his parents resources to find her. Why have you chosen this character? I have chosen this character because I feel like I needed a white stereotypical male to appeal to the stereotype within teen dramas and Isaac falls into this category. |
